Setting the audio subsystem up

First you need to specify the "Internal MoH Port" in the "IP Configuration" of the system in the web interface. Typically, this value is already set to a reasonable value like 2042. The "Internal Paging Port" should also be set to a reasonable value, a different port like 2040.

If you need to change these settings, you must reboot the system to make those settings available.

Setting up MoH

In order to use the audio stream coming from the hardware, you need to set up a music source. This is done in the "Music" tab in the system settings (see Music on Hold for more information). For example, you can choose the name "Music Connector" and the port number "2042". You will then see a screen like the one below.

After creating the music on hold source, you need to select it in the domain. This is done in the domain settings (setting " Music on Hold Source"). Select the source that you just created.

To test the feature, just call an internal extension and push the bold button on the phone. You should then hear the music coming from the audio input.

Setting up paging

In order to create a paging output, you need to create a "Paging" account in the domain.

The account settings are shown below. You need to select the "Multicast" mode, and the destination must be the IP address and the port number of the paging device. For this purpose, use the "Internal IP Address of PSTN Gateway" (typically 1.1.1.2) and the port number assigned for the "Internal Paging Port" (see above). Be sure to set the "Source" to "*", so that all extensions can use the paging account.

To test the paging, just call the paging account number and start talking.
