Loging into the Phone
To log into the phone, get the IP address that was assigned. The phones web interface uses port 8000. The default username is admin and the password is 1234.
Preparing the PBX
Passwords
On the PBX, you want to check the following items:
- Verify that the extension was previously created and has a SIP password. The SIP password will be required for configuring the phone.
Manual Configuration
Registration
Under SIP Settings go to Service Domain. Activate the Realm and enter the following information: In the Display Name field enter the users name, in the User Name and Register Name fields enter the extension, in the Register Password field enter the SIP Password, in the Domain Server field enter the Domain name on the PBX (most cases localhost will be entered here), in the Porxy Server and the Outbound Proxy fields enter the ip address of the PBX, and Change Subscribe for MWI to On. Then click submit
Other Settings
Under Phone Settings/SNTP Settings set the Time Zone where the phone will be located and click Submit.
Under Phone Settings/Dial Plan Settings set the Auto Dial Time as desired, between 3-5 seconds and click Submit.
Under Phone Settings/Soft Key Settings set the following: Voicemail Key to *97, Forward to *71, Do not Disturb to *78 and click Submit.
Under Network/WAN Settings verify the network configuration.
Under SIP Settings/DTMF switch to Inband DTMF.
Click Save Change, the click Save. The phone will then reboot and register with the system.
