Placing Calls
To place a call using your Biztouch8 dial the phone number or extension. You many need to dial 9 for an outside call, depending on configuration by system administrator. You can also use the Redial key to call back the last number you dialed.
Answering Calls
To answer a call simply pick up the handset and the call will be connected. Alternatively, you can press the Speaker or Headset. Pressing either the Speaker or Headset key will answer the call using the selected method.
Hold, Transfer, and Conference
To place a call on Hold press the Hold button. To resume the call press hold.
To Transfer a call press transfer key, then dial the number your wish to call. If you'd like to announce the call to the new recipient, stay on the line until they answer, then press transfer or hang up the phone when you would like to complete the transfer. If you would like to transfer the call immediately, press transfer or hang up after dialing the extension.
To create a 3-way conference, establish the first call, place the call on hold, dial or answer the second call. When the call is connected, press the conference button to join all parties together.
Handling Multiple Calls
To answer a second call, press the hold button and the new call will be connected. To toggle calls, press hold again.
To place a second call, press hold, then dial the number you wish to call
Do Not Disturb
The DND button will cause all calls to your extension to immediately redirect to your voicemail box without ringing your phone.
Voice MSG Button
The Retrieve Button will bring you to your voicemail menu. See Mailbox for more information.
Speed Dial Keys
To program the Speed dial keys, press Menu, the select option 1 "Phone Book", then option 3 "Speed dial". Enter the number you wish to store and press enter. Then select the Memory key (M1-M10) you wish to use.
To use the Speed dial key simply press the key before getting a dial tone.
